Chicago Prize

Awarding $10 million to a community-led, investment-ready initiative that will create a better economic future for residents on Chicago’s South and/or West Side.

A Chicago Neighborhood Challenge

Imagine you have $10 million to build something vital in your community. Would you repurpose buildings, reimagine a park, build vibrant affordable housing, revitalize commercial corridors or advance another innovative idea? What would you do to make your vision for Chicago a reality?

The Pritzker Traubert Foundation is launching the Chicago Prize to award $10 million to a single initiative on the South and/or West Side that uses physical development and revitalization to create and strengthen civic infrastructure that catalyzes economic opportunities and improves the well-being of residents. We seek to lift bold ideas that activate existing community plans and are led by teams with deep community partnerships and the expertise to leverage the grant, implement the initiative, and create impact.
